A powerful heatwave is set to sweep across parts of northern Algeria this weekend, with temperatures expected to climb as high as 45°C in several regions.
According to the National Meteorological Office, coastal and central wilayas including Algiers, Tipasa and Annaba could see temperatures exceeding 40°C on Friday and Saturday, while inland areas such as Chlef and Aïn Defla may face even hotter conditions.
