RIYADH: An IMF mission to Algeria has urged sizable fiscal consolidation and warned that the erosion of fiscal and external buffers threatens economic resilience.
The 2026 Article IV consultation mission, led by Charalambos Tsangarides, visited Algiers from June 16 to 30 to conduct the annual review of the country’s economic policies.
