ORAN, Mo. — Harper Johnson turned in six scoreless innings, and Oran cashed in early at the plate to beat East Prairie 6-0 on Thursday, April 9, in conference play. Working fast and in the zone, Johnson pitched out of runners on second and third in the second and again in the sixth, finishing six shutout innings with seven strikeouts.
“He was pumping strikes and doing a great job of locating a lot of pitches,” said Oran coach Joe Bickings. “He just wanted to get the ball and keep throwing. That’s what we needed today.”
